Taramosalata (Fish roe salad - meze)

Taramosalata is one of those dishes. It is roe fish blended into a creamy pink dip of pureed potatoes with parsley, lemon juice, and finely chopped onion (optional). In meze, this is one of the first dishes that it is served. In taverns, they always bring it along with salad, tzatziki, and tahini. We will talk about the last two later. ReplyDeleteI always have used beef or chicken with stir fried veggies, however the fish does sound like a great idea. Fresh fish would make it a more healthy meal. Also, I noticed there is a little bit of fusion going on with the italian spices and the soy-definitely a mix I need to try. Well done!

ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful tasty dish. I tried it and it tasted as good as it looked. Fish is a very important dish,an excellent source of Omega-3 fatty acids and lot sof other vitamins. All these vegetables add an extra flavour and even more nutrients. I'm guessing that whoever you are cooking for, they very happy.
